OPTIMIST CLUB OF JASPER
MAKES 2013 DONATIONS
By Sue Appleton/Secretary
Each year the Optimist Club of Jasper holds three fundraisers which includes pecan sales in November, the 5K Flapjack Run in April and the annual Scholarship Golf Tournament held in May. Funds then are used to support the STAR Banquet and STAR scholarships as well as the annual Citizenship Award and awards for the annual Essay Contest and Oratorical Contest. After the last fundraiser of the year, the club determines how much can be put back into the
community to “bring out the best in kids”. Pickens County
