Awesome Lawson Wins Again!

Madison Lawson, a student at Wildwood Christian Academy and the entrant sponsored by the Optimist Club of Jasper, will compete for $2500 at the GATEway District Oratorical contest.  After winning the zone contest in March she proceeded to compete at the area contest held in Gainesville on April 16 where she defeated the other girls, all of whom were older than Madison.  She will now be competing in Marietta, Georgia on Sunday, May 1 against other area winners from across the state of Georgia and the eastern part of Tennessee.  The winner of the female contest will receive a $2500 scholarship.  The topic for all speakers is:  “How My Best Brings Out the Best in Others”.  Members of the Optimist Club of Jasper are extremely pleased with Madison Lawson and the wonderful performance that she has given at all levels.  We wish her much success at Marietta in two weeks.
